CA Dept of Public Health rarely seeks legislation action to change breastfeeding...so a great partnership with CWA and CBC through this.
In choosing the panel for the CBR we had lots of applications. We picked people from different areas of the state as well as backgrounds.
So what is the mission? To provide policy recommendations and strategies to increase breastfeeding rates and duration. We want BF to be the exclusive food for 6 months and then adding solids throughout one year an beyond; on par with the AAP statement as well as ACOG.
